Editorial principles
FreeTripGuide publishes practical China travel guidance for international visitors. We separate stable planning advice from time-sensitive claims and use official or first-party sources for topics that can materially affect a trip.
Source hierarchy
- Official government and transport sources for immigration, public holidays, customs, rail, and similar rules.
- First-party provider documentation for payment apps, airlines, telecom services, attractions, and booking platforms.
- Direct editorial synthesis for route planning, packing, comparison, and first-time traveler context.
Update policy
Pages carry an editorial review date. Topics such as entry rules, payment-provider support, train procedures, schedules, prices, app availability, and attraction reservations should be checked more frequently than evergreen destination or culture guidance.
Corrections and conflicts
If an official source conflicts with a FreeTripGuide summary, the current official source should take priority. Readers can submit corrections through the contact page; material corrections should be reviewed and reflected in the relevant article.
Commercial relationships
FreeTripGuide may eventually use affiliate links or commercial partnerships. When that happens, pages containing those relationships should disclose them clearly. Editorial inclusion should not be presented as proof that a product or service is universally suitable for every traveler.
